Frequently Asked Questions About Rank on Bing

What is Rank on Bing?

Rank on Bing is a subscription service that fetches your website's sitemap.xml and submits those URLs to Bing via the IndexNow protocol. You get submission logs and a scheduled re-fetch so new pages are submitted without pasting URLs by hand. It is not a rank tracker, SERP checker, or a ranking guarantee.

How do I use it?

After creating an account and choosing a plan, add your website URL and the link to your sitemap.xml file. We'll ask you to place a verification text file at the root of your website so Bing can confirm ownership.

How does the Bing URL submission process work?

It is 100% automatic. Our bots fetch your sitemap.xml and submit the URLs it contains to Bing via IndexNow. You can review the submission logs in the dashboard. On every subscription plan, the sitemap is fetched again every 24 hours so new URLs are submitted.

How long does it take to index my website on Bing?

Rank on Bing submits your URLs so Bing can crawl them in a matter of hours instead of waiting weeks for organic discovery. Bing still decides whether and when to index a page. We speed up crawl and index attempts; we cannot guarantee that a page will be indexed, or that it will rank.

Why should I care about Bing indexing?

Google is the largest search engine, but Bing still serves millions of searches — especially in the US, where it has a meaningful market share. Pages Bing has not discovered cannot appear in Bing results, or in products that use Bing's index.

I have already created and submitted the sitemap to Bing, isn't it enough?

Submitting a sitemap in Bing Webmaster Tools is a good practice, but Bing may still take weeks to crawl every URL. Rank on Bing submits the URLs from your sitemap via IndexNow so Bing is notified about each page in a matter of hours, then re-fetches the sitemap every 24 hours.

What do I need to use Rank on Bing?

You need a website with a sitemap.xml file and the ability to add a text file at the root of your website. If you don't have a sitemap yet, you can create one with a tool like xml-sitemaps.com.

Is there a limit to the number of URLs I can submit to Bing?

Yes. Page caps per website are 1,000 on Starter, 2,500 on Professional, and 5,000 on Agency. You can upgrade at any time.

How do I know if my URLs have been indexed?

Rank on Bing provides a dashboard with the status of your submissions and the logs returned by Bing. We also link you to Bing Webmaster Tools, where you can see which URLs Bing has indexed.

Does Rank on Bing guarantee traffic or first-page rankings?

No. Indexing is a prerequisite for ranking, not a ranking result. Traffic depends on your content, competition, and overall SEO. Rank on Bing cannot guarantee visitors or a first-page position; it helps Bing discover and crawl your pages faster.

How many websites can I submit?

Website limits are 2 on Starter, 20 on Professional, and 100 on Agency. You can upgrade at any time.

How is Bing indexing different from Google indexing?

Google and Bing maintain separate indexes. Getting indexed on Google does not mean Bing has discovered the same pages. Rank on Bing is built for Bing URL submission via IndexNow — it does not submit to Google.

Does Rank on Bing support nested sitemaps?

Yes. Rank on Bing supports 2 levels of nested sitemaps. If your sitemap.xml points to other sitemap files, we'll fetch the first 3 sitemaps and submit those URLs to Bing.

How do I submit my website to Bing with Rank on Bing?

Create an account, add your website URL and sitemap.xml, then place a verification text file at your site root. Rank on Bing fetches the sitemap and submits every URL to Bing via IndexNow. Subscription plans re-fetch the sitemap every 24 hours to submit new pages.

Is this the same as Bing Webmaster Tools URL submission?

No. Rank on Bing is an independent service. It uses the IndexNow protocol to submit the URLs listed in your sitemap. You can still use Bing Webmaster Tools to monitor crawl and index status; Rank on Bing does not replace Microsoft’s tools.
